The unique Alaskan lifestyle has affected Sarah Palin in many ways. Palin’s father hunted and took her with him, this was a bonding time for them. Since then Palin has become a member of the NRA and supports the constitutional right to bear arms. She grew up in Alaska the oil state and was the head chairman for the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. Palin pushed McCain towards off-shore drilling and wants America to become free from foreign oil dependency. The geographical location where we live affects our personalities and that is no different for Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin’s family has a substantial impact on her politics. Sarah is a mother of five one of which has down syndrome. She is extremely pro-life and kept the baby, showing her commitment to her stance. She has a personal interest in the Iraq war, her oldest son is deployed there. She supports the troops and she wants an exit plan for the troops to keep them and her son safe. Because of her child with down syndrome and her child in Iraq she has constructed definite views towards those issues.
